     The rarest of the ‘fishbone’ type epiphytic jungle cacti. This species hails from Costa Rica, where it lives crawling along tree branches in the canopy. In bright shade, the new growth blushes reddish pink, a distinguishing characteristic compared to other ‘fishbone’ cacti. The flower is short with many white petals, although it is very rare to see it bloom at all.

     The stems can reach a width of 6 inches and will grow very long if unimpeded. It is a wild growing plant that can take up a lot of space, so it’s best to put it in a hanging basket and let the stems trail downward. Allow to dry in between waterings.
