Cyanastrum cordifolium
The plant pictured is the plant for sale. Shipped in a 6" pot.
Cyanastrum cordifolium is a little known but highly attractive understory plant from tropical West and Central Africa. At first glance it looks like a miniature Hosta or a tuberous aroid. Although it grows like both those things, it is not related to either. The bright green, intricate, and highly glossy leaves are entirely unique and striking. What more, it is tolerant of low-light and average humidity conditions, so it would make an excellent foliage houseplant.
Cyanastrum cordifolium is a slow growing plant for me, but it does very well in the darkest corner of the greenhouse. Keep it moist and it should consistently produce new, shiny green leaves. It appreciates high humidity if you can provide it. A very uncommon plant!
