It is monopodial in habit, meaning that it has a tall, unbranched trunk that’s topped with leaves, like a palm tree! Whatmore, the flowers are borne directly out of the trunk, covering it like a colorful wreath on Dia de Los Muertos. Definitely worth a Google Image search. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e     This is a slow-growing tree that appreciates subtropical to tropical conditions.
